A week ago (26.11.21) I just submitted my final draft on my group presentation that I worked on with Liv and Elle. I feel rather confident with us as a team because not only we are friends but we made a good team and ensuring each one of us fulfilled our job role. Our hand-in was to create a business plan on any type of business we wished to create as long as it was solving a problem and with a creative solution. For our business we came up with an idea on creating boots that will save the bees – by making the project entirely using vegan products and including a satchel with flower seeds that bees can pollinate the best from.

Each one of us had our own role and for me I was appointed the role of illustrating the imagery, including the boot design and logo within the business presentation. It was very important to us as a group to create original work so then we can stand out from the rest of the market. Not only had I primarily done the illustrations within the presentation I was responsible for some of the research that was used within the business plan. I mainly researched on how and why bees are important within the ecosystem as well as what threats they face to inform the guest speaker and our lecturers the importance on why bees need to be saved.

When starting this module not only me but Liv and Elle too, we felt it was very difficult to wrap our head round it as we never had this much freedom within a project. Therefore, causing us struggle on ideas for our business plan. However, because we all shared the same love for Dr Martens and bees it felt right for us to take the approach we did. After doing this component for this module, I hope that I could continue working with Liv and Elle on our Boots N’ Bees business as it was really fun working with them and I look forward on what our next tasks would be after Christmas.
